Kenny Katz has been a podiatrist on Long Island for more than 38 years, but his connection to horse racing and charitable fundraising reaches far beyond his professional career. His family has owned racehorses for nearly 35 years, competing primarily on the NYRA circuit. Among those horses was Great Stuff, winner of the Toboggan Stakes with jockey Dylan Davis aboard.

Kenny's passion for helping others began at an early age. Inspired by his parents and the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, Kenny and a friend spent a year training for a 250-mile fundraising walk. On the night of his high school graduation, they traveled to Washington, D.C., and began the seven-day walk back to New York City, ultimately raising $5,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

In 1992, Kenny invented a protective glove designed for children playing video games. The product was licensed by a leading video game company, and Kenny later became a consultant for its sports division. Through that experience, he became involved in charitable events and had opportunities to work with professional athletes from all four major sports, as well as boxing, tennis and soccer.

It was through those experiences that Kenny developed an especially deep appreciation for jockeys and the horse racing community. For many years, he has devoted his creativity and fundraising experience to supporting jockey-related causes, developing unique fundraising projects including signed Kentucky Derby and Hall of Fame posters, collectible card sets and bobblehead promotions.

Kenny previously served as President of Jockeys and Jeans, helping lead fundraising efforts and events benefiting permanently disabled jockeys. Today, as President of Jockey Relief Alliance, Kenny brings decades of racing connections, fundraising experience and a genuine commitment to helping jockeys and their families during times of unexpected hardship.
