Terry Wells brings a lifelong passion for Thoroughbred racing, a deep commitment to the equestrian community, and a heart dedicated to supporting the individuals who make the sport possible. As the founder and winemaker behind Love That Red Winery—the nation’s only winery dedicated entirely to Thoroughbred horse racing and it’s heritage—Terry has long combined his love for the track with a mission to honor its rich history and legendary figures.

For Terry, horse racing is far more than a sport; it is a close-knit community built on grit, passion, and incredible resilience. He recognizes that behind every thrilling stretch run and winning moment are the jockeys and backstretch families whose daily dedication and courage drive the entire industry forward. His devotion to this organization stems from a heartfelt commitment to ensure that when these athletes face injury or unexpected hardship, they and their families receive the compassion, dignity, and real-world support they deserve.
